This is a gentle book of reassurance to let children know that they are still loved despite the fact that mummy is poorly. When a parent is bi-polar or suffers from a depressive or other mental illness, it can be hard for a child to understand that a parent's withdrawal does not mean they have stopped loving them.  This little book by Rosita Bird, beautifully illustrated by Lynn Costelloe, could help avoid insecurity and provide reassurance that things will eventually return to normal.
