My Great-Grandad Was a Soldier
Foreword by Simon Weston, C.B.E.

I have always been a great believer in reading to children from a very young age. In the modern world of being able to watch television programmes on your phone and tablets it has never been easier to find some way to keep your children entertained - but nothing is more powerful and heart-warming and educational than reading to your child.
My Great-Grandad was a Soldier is a beautifully illustrated story of a young boy, doing what young boys do, exploring potential treasure and discovering the history of his great-grandad and how he was a soldier in the World War.
The book is a gentle introduction to children into history and I am grateful to Rosita for supporting
Care After Combat – a veterans’ charity close to my heart. I hope you enjoy the book.
